I've bunked off two rehearsals for this weekends performance, mainly because that music is so dreadful. Britten's St.Nicholas quiet hard for a tenor (my part) and too high only really using the high notes of the range. I told everyone not to come to the performance, partly because the cost is a whopping nine pound, but mainly because it won't be a very enjoyable experience.
I believe that Joel and the Blackheath Conservatoire have pretty much managed to drive everyone way and won't be back next term. well I won't be back for other reasons anyway. The course is meant to be 'singing with pleasure', I might still ask for my money back.
